The Small Ball Center of the General Administration of Sport released the regulations for the 2026 National Squash Championships, to be held in Chengdu from October 15 to 18, featuring men's and women's singles in Group A and B.

The Small Ball Center of the General Administration of Sport recently issued the regulations for the 2026 National Squash Championships. The tournament is hosted by the Small Ball Center and the Sichuan Provincial Sports Bureau, organized by Sichuan Sports Vocational College, and executed by Sichuan Shuhua Chuant Sports Development Co., Ltd. It will be held from October 15 to 18, 2026, at the Linjiang Zhiyuan Asian Squash Training Base in Shuangliu District, Chengdu.
The event features men's and women's singles, divided into Group A (professional) and Group B (open), with a maximum of 40 players per group. Group A requires team entry via provincial-level (including separately listed cities) sports authorities or associations, with no individual registration. Group B allows both team and individual registration. Participants must hold Chinese nationality (athletes from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan are limited to Group B), be at least 13 years old, and provide a health certificate issued by a second-class or above hospital within the past six months.
In terms of competition format, Group A uses a single-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches. Group B's main draw and qualifiers are also single-elimination with best-of-five, while the consolation bracket uses best-of-three. The rules follow the latest WSF Singles Rules 2025. Seeds are determined based on results from the 2026 National Open and the 2025 National Championships. Results from this event will serve as an important basis for selection for the next national team training camp and for qualification for 2027 national squash individual events.
